Edgar Custom Home Build
This custom home was designed to feel modern while still fitting naturally into its Pacific Northwest surroundings. The home features Garapa wood siding, wood ceilings with large exposed timber beams, and custom cabinetry and doors crafted by a local Lummi Island cabinetmaker. Before construction could begin, the existing home had to be demolished, and the team worked through the challenges of the site and Northwest conditions to thoughtfully integrate the new home into the property. Having previously remodeled the owners’ neighboring home, Hadfield Construction was able to continue that relationship by bringing their vision for a custom home to life. Nature-focused landscaping, surrounding forest, and nearby trails help the finished home feel connected to the land, creating a refined modern retreat that still feels distinctly at home on Lummi Island.
